Leadership in Social Change Workshop Opportunity!StarterWhat assumptions does your leadership vision and action plan reveal about what you think is best for your leadership role/organization/team/group, etc....? Ashley's Example: I have a vision for a methodology of teaching that would have students outside of 4 classroom walls with more regularity. For instance, we might study investigative journalism and immigration by traveling to the border and interviewing various people affected by immigration and then return to Durango to try to publish a piece of journalism on the topic. Or, we might study snow science and geology by traveling through the San Juans, backcountry skiing in the mountains and bike packing through the desert. This vision is based on LOTS of assumptions-- I assume that experiential education is a more engaging way of learning. I assume that time outdoors in good for our mental and physical well-being. I assume that students would be interested in this. I assume that students could afford the extra cost such a program might entail. I assume that I have enough time in my own life to plan and implement such a program. I assume I'll be able to make enough connections with other organizations/community members, etc...to bring a diversity of learning experiences to my students.....
